About Us

A Great Local Family Farm!

Houlden Farm is a small family-owned and operated produce farm that plans to ensure this opportunity for the next generation. It is our goal to provide fresh, nutritious, quality produce to our local community. We strive to use the safest methods to grow the highest quality plants and vegetables that are raised in an environmentally responsible way.

We consider it our responsibility to support local growers, suppliers and purveyors so that our customers have access to all that the New England growing season as to offer.

In 1961 when Howard and Ruth married, they moved from Westboro to the "farm" and built the family home. In 1975, Sandra and her husband Merle started renovations on the original farm house located on Wesson Road.Wondeful Pumpkins to Pick in the Fall!

A year later they moved in, and still occupy the house today. While raising four children, Ruth decided to start a back yard garden.

Seeing there were only a few T. V. stations and no video games or internet, the Houlden children took it upon themselves to sell the extra veggies from Mom's garden. Once we out grew the small "Honk Horn for Service" stand that was located in the front yard, we moved into the original milk house on the farm and is our present farm stand.
